The 'Brace' series is designed around a structural principle of having a bracing element. This distinctive feature characterises the entire collection. Crafted from 25mm planks of solid mahogany, the pieces achieve a striking balance between the robust bracing element and the inherent lightness of the thin wood used. Depending on the viewer’s perspective, the structural elements can convey a sense of mass and weight, or alternatively a visual lightness when the bracing components are less visible. 

All of the series is made from carefully chosen raw planks of mahogany. The raw planks were planed and sanded to achieve the desired thickness. The table tops comprise of several planks that are joined to together. For the seats, a curved indent is incorporated to provide additional comfort for the back. The oversized legs and bracing elements emphasise the wide solid wood planks that were used for the pieces and allow one to appreciate the intricate patterns of the woods grain.
