The 'Stratum' series is an exploration of texture and materiality, drawing inspiration from the stratification found in natural formations. Each piece within this series is crafted through the technique of hand-compressing concrete layers, resulting in a finish characterised by its rich tactile qualities and subtle graduation of texture.
Utilising a diverse array of soil, stone and white cement, every piece in the series emerges with its own distinct character and colour palette. From warm, earthy browns to cool muted greys, the subtle nuances in hue imbue the collection with a sense of depth and richness, echoing the natural diversity found in nature.
