Rectangular in form, the house embraces simplicity while addressing the challenge of a three-storey volume. To reduce its perceived mass, the design divides the structure into two parts: the upper level is smaller in plan and set back from the façade, allowing the lower portion to define the building’s presence. Three recessed loggias on the first floor further articulate the façade, breaking down its scale and introducing rhythm.
A rendered finish gives the main façade a calm, understated character, complemented by larch doors and paneling that will weather to a silvery tone over time. This natural transformation will harmonise with the light grey render. Above, a glass façade reflects trees, sky, and shifting light, softening the architecture and allowing the upper volume to blend into its surroundings.
At the core of the layout lies a central staircase. The ground floor opens into a south-facing living area connected directly to the garden, with generous daylight throughout the day. A corner window captures morning light, while the double-height space enhances the sense of openness and volume.
Crowning the house, the master bedroom occupies a glass pavilion on the top floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide constant visual connection to the landscape, with views over the trees and, from the north side, toward the river. The result is a residence that balances solidity with lightness, integrating architecture and nature into a coherent whole.
